The Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) is proud to announce Matt Van Ast as the recipient of the 2024 OCUL Outstanding Contribution Award.
Matt Van Ast, University of Guelph, is recognized for his longstanding commitment to the Collaborative Futures vision of Ontario campus communities accessing a large and diverse province-wide library collection. Matt demonstrates this dedication through roles on multiple Collaborative Futures groups, in addition to the time he gives to help with testing, analysis and problem solving for Alma Resource Sharing and the Automated Fulfillment Network (AFN).
Matt has been instrumental in the development of the network since its inception, having previously served as a member of both the AFN Pilot Team and AFN Expansion Working Group.
The annual OCUL Outstanding Contribution Award celebrates the significant contributions of an individual or team within the university library consortium. Outstanding contributions advance the OCUL mission and/or one or more strategic priorities.
