Cataloguing traditionally involves manual metadata creation that takes considerable time and effort. With new technologies to aid in automating parts of the metadata process, the next OCUL AI Exchange session will introduce Annif, the open-source tool developed by the National Library of Finland for automated subject indexing.

This one-hour session presented by Digital Technologies Development Librarian MJ Suhonos (Toronto Metropolitan University) will provide a technical overview of how to use Annif, plus a discussion on its use opportunities within existing cataloguing practices at OCUL member libraries.
