The Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) is now accepting proposals for New Initiatives funding.

Each year, OCUL provides financial support for major initiatives and projects that align with OCUL’s strategic plan and have a broad impact for all OCUL member libraries’ teaching, learning and research priorities.

The New Initiatives Fund – or NIF – was established as part of the consortium’s financial framework to provide financial support for significant strategic actions or rapid responses to a changing technology environment.

“The NIF is one way that OCUL responds to the evolving needs of Ontario’s academic communities,” explains Amy Greenberg, OCUL Executive Director. “We’re excited to see this year’s suggestions from members and partners for the development of solutions that will advance innovative and equitable library services.”

Proposals for 2024-25 funding are due by September 15, 2023. Proposal templates are available on SPOTDocs (login required).
