TORONTO (Ontario), 28 October 2022 - The Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Amy Greenberg as Executive Director following an extensive North American search.

OCUL would like to congratulate Interim Executive Director, Michael Vandenburg on his upcoming appointment as Dean of Libraries at Dalhousie University. Michael has served as OCUL Interim Executive Director since May, 2021 providing steady operational and strategic leadership to the consortium in a year of transition. Michael will begin his new role on August 15, 2022 and we wish him all the best.

OCUL Information Resources Committee (OCUL-IR) is hosting a webinar to engage with OCUL colleagues and introduce OCUL-IR’s mandate, activities, and responsibilities on issues relating to collective negotiation, collection development and strategy. 

The Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) congratulates Scholars Portal Digital Preservation Librarian Grant Hurley on receiving the 2021 the Archives Association of Ontario (AAO) Alexander Fraser Award and the Masters of Information Student Council, MISC Outstanding Instructor Award. These awards recognise Grant’s sustained and valuable contribution to the field of digital preservation.
